The Mission of Adoption

This sermon is the last message in our four-part series on the doctrine of adoption.  Parts 1 thru 3 of this series unpacked the doctrine of God and the soteriology of adoption.  In this final sermon we look at the logical outworking of those sermons, namely, in light of God's triunity and His work of adoption we are compelled to righteously imitate Him in the sociology of adoption.  Simply put, God adopted us, so we should adopt others.  This sermon is aimed to encourage the church to foster and adopt the orphaned of our city and world, to give homes to the homeless and bring them into family just as God has done for us.
