Thomas Harris Sr. Memorial Service

WELCOME

On December 13th, 2011 the Del Rey Church was proud to host the Thomas Harris Senior Memorial Service.  For those who could not make and for those who would like to watch it again, we have created this web page with the video footage of the memorial and the keepsake bulletin for all to enjoy.

The Del Rey Church would like give our condolences to the Harris family.  We are praying for Thomas’ sons and those he loved.  We know his companionship in your lives will be missed, so we pray to our heavenly Father in the name of the Son, Jesus Christ, that the Spirit will grant comfort on us all as we mourn this together and as we celebrate his homecoming by the grace of God.

MEMORIAL PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for Jesus, for his precious gift of eternal life, and for the comfort of the Holy Spirit. In the midst of our natural sorrow, we thank you for your supernatural grace. In facing death, we thank you for the promise of life everlasting. And in the face of separation, we thank you for the assurance of eternal reunion.  We thank you for Thomas’ life here on this earth, and we recognize that his body was a temporary home and now he lives in your everlasting home, awaiting the resurrection.  We take comfort in knowing Thomas is with you now, because in your grace you opened his eyes to repent and trust you, so we rejoice that he is rejoicing in your presence and enjoying the blessings of heaven.  We look forward to that day, when we can all rejoice in your presence together, and we thank you that we are not without hope or comfort at this time.  We thank you for making your presence very real to each family member, and that you will especially strengthen and sustain them in the days, weeks, and months to come.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
