Del Rey Bible Institute (DRBI) | Fall Term 2023
Jesus gave His church marching orders to make disciples. In order to more effectively obey this command of Christ, we have the Del Rey Bible Institute (DRBI). The DRBI is a training center modeled after the Jesus-style classroom we read about in the New Testament. Through lecture, group interaction, homework and prayer, we seek to make disciples who will live missionally in our culture and among the nations for God’s glory. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Old Testament 102 is an overview of the latter half of the Hebrew Bible. In this class, we cover 27 of the 39 books that make up the Old Testament, focusing on the historical and prophetic sections. The course puts each of these books into their historical context, identifying their author and date, and investigating the circumstances surrounding their writing and the main theological, spiritual, and ethical messages presented in each book. This class combined with Old Testament 101 walks students through the entire Hebrew Bible.
COST:
The class has a minimal cost of $80 for the books and materials. Otherwise, the course itself is free.
