Purity Pledge

Calling All Men

"Men, I want to offer you a challenge. You too, women, but allow me speak to the men first. Beginning on March 1, I am going to begin a program I’m calling 31 Days of Purity. This is for all of us—for those who are young and those who are old, for those who are married and those who are single, for those who struggle mightily in the area of sexual sin and for those who may barely struggle at all. I would love it if you would commit with me to 31 Days of Purity—thirty-one days of considering what God’s Word says about sexual purity and thirty-one days of praying that God would help us fight sin and pursue holiness in this area."

- Tim Challies (challies.com)

Gentlemen, the struggle with porn, lust and carnal sins are devastating. Their strength is a testament to their wickedness. But God is stronger. We have promise in the one who overcame all sin! We at DRC are taking an entire month to set ourselves before God as a community, to repent and to submit to His Word and His ways. Join us, pray with us and pursue the Lord with us, that we might be a holy community set apart for His glory.

How to Join

First, join Challies' Facebook group, called "31 Days of Purity". He will be posting articles and scripture every day. This is how you gain access to those resources. There is one for men and one for women

Second - for men only - join DRC's Purity Facebook group. This is where we as a group of men at DRC can build support, discuss and encourage one another. This group will be led by Tony Shen. It is a "Secret" group, in order to protect the privacy of those in the group. This means that no one outside the group can find the group, view its posts, or know who's in it.

In order to join, you must be a Facebook friend of the administrator (Tony), so if you are already Facebook friends with Tony, ask him to add you. If not, send him a Facebook friend request and then (just to be super-clear) tell him via Facebook message that you want to join the group. He will add you.

Lastly, be dilligent and sincere before God. Pray earnestly and be willing with Him.
