our weekly discipleship

The Lord Jesus commanded us to make disciples (Matthew 28:19). At Del Rey Church, we aim to be a church of disciples making disciples

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the center of human history, the greatest story ever told, and the subject of angelic contemplation (1 Peter 1:12). When proclaimed with biblical fidelity, it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16) and the great source and motivation of all true holiness (1 Timothy 3:16). When its message is distorted, it brings death to the hearers and the gravest of curses to the one who proclaims it (Galatians 1:6-9). For these reasons and many others, the Christian should consider his study of the gospel to be a primary and lifelong task.

The great goal of our Men's Group is to have an encounter with God through His Word. Founded upon the conviction that the Scriptures are the inspired and infallible Word of God, this Men's Group has been designed in such a way that it is literally impossible for a man to advance without an open Bible before him. The goal is to help us obey the exhortation of the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 2:15: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”

Each week...

  • We will learn about a specific aspect of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • We will be taught in person by one of the pastors or disciples in Del Rey Church.
  • We will complete short daily assignments by answering the questions and following the instructions according to the Scriptures given.
  • We will encourage each other to meditate upon each text and write our thoughts in the workbook.
  • We will benefit in proportion to our investment, so we are going to put in the work and invest in order to benefit!
