Food Drive For the Poor

Last week to participate - we must turn in bags on Dec 1st!
 
We’re stretching our outreach arms as wide as we can for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  As you know, the city of Los Angeles is full of families living in poverty and many with serious needs.  This holiday season we want to be a blessing to the poor of our city by offering a free meal to families living in poverty.
 
We have arranged a partnership with the LAX Food Pantry to help assist their efforts to feed the poor.  Our goal is to provide them with 40 family meals.  We have a simple grocery list (click here to download the list) of imperishable items and a special bag for the groceries.  Ask one of the ushers or pastors at church on Sunday and they will give you the list and bag.  Or, stop by during the week and grab it.  Whether you use the provided special bag or your own brown paper grocery bag, we want you to take the list and fill the grocery bag with the items on the list.  Then bring the filled bag back to church.  The first Sunday of December we will be taking the 40 filled bags to the LAX Food Pantry.
