SIGNATURE IN THE CELL EVENT: STEPHEN MEYER FACES HIS CRITICS - May 14

WHAT:

SIGNATURE IN THE CELL EVENT:
STEPHEN MEYER FACES HIS CRITICS

Dr. Stephen Meyer has written a book that is shaking the evolutionary establishment like “Darwin’s Black Box” and “Evolution: A Theory in Crisis” did in previous decades. Meyer has assembled a set of ideas based on the latest research on living cells that must be answered if traditional Darwinism is to survive. So we have assembled a powerful group of credentialed critics of Meyer’s “Intelligent Design” position to let him have it with both barrels. No hiding in dark libraries or murky laboratories—if Meyer has the goods, he needs to debate his toughest critics face to face! In addition, we will be screening some clips of the latest Illustra Media DVD titled “Darwin’s Dilemma” and providing free copies to each family in attendance.

Truth Project - May 16th

WHAT:

DRC EVENT

The Truth Project

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.

Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation.

To counter this slide within the body of Christ, we are launching one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of our ministry—The Truth Project.

The Truth Project is a DVD-based teaching curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by noted Christian thinker Dr. Del Tackett. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. We invite you to be a part of this cultural change by participating in the Truth Project.

Life Connections International: Short Term Mission Trips

The mission of Life Connections International is to unify the body of Christ by promoting connections among ministry resources that create lasting partnerships, and to facilitate teaching, training, encouragement and support of churches and para-church organizations worldwide to prepare God's people for works of service and promote outreach to surrounding communities.

WHAT:

One aspect of the work of LCI is our short-term volunteer trips here in the U.S. and around the world. We have a heart to come along side people that are on the front-lines of ministries and help to support the vision that God has given them to touch their communities. We do this by inviting people, just like you who are willing to come and serve. We welcome all, those with skills and without, people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life.
