MORE INFO ON SERIES:

Part One - Marriage In The Beginning

Our culture often views getting married and starting a family as a last resort. In our fast-paced, high achieving society, this lifestyle is deemed as a hindrance in the quest for success. But God designed marriage on purpose, for a purpose (and it isn't our happiness). Dr. Baucham shares what this purpose is and how it can impact your understanding of marriage.

Part Two - What He Must Be

What comes to mind when you envision the ideal husband? Tall, dark and handsome? Well, God has a different standard when it comes to the one who will lead a marriage. Dr. Baucham shares the biblical description of what a husband must be by looking at the Bible, specifically Ephesians 5.

Part Three - What She Must Be

When God designed marriage, He instructed wives to submit to their husbands. Unfortunately, this aspect of biblical marriage has been misunderstood and misapplied for generations. In this message, Dr. Baucham discusses the role of a wife and what it means to have submissive love in marriage.

SPEAKER: DR. VODDIE BAUCHAM is a husband, father, pastor, author, speaker and professor.  He holds degrees from Houston Baptist University (BA in Christianity/BA in Sociology), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.), an honorary degree from Southern California Seminary (D.D.), and additional post-graduate study at the University of Oxford, England (Regent’s Park College).  Voddie and his wife, Bridget have been married since 1989. They have six children, Jasmine, Trey (Voddie, III), Elijah, Asher, Judah, and Micah. They are committed home educators.
