New Here? Here's what to expect on a Sunday morning...

FIRST THING TO KNOW  We want you to relax. We know it can be confusing and intimidating coming to a church for the first time. We just want you to feel welcomed and free to check us out – no strings attached. Sit anywhere you like and enjoy yourself. There's new people here all the time, so don't feel alone – you will blend in, so there's no social anxiety.

	COFFEE, TEA, AND MINTS It's no secret that we love coffee. And for you non-coffee drinkers we have hot tea and, of course, water. Since a good cup of coffee or tea can leave your breath a little stale, we have mints to make life better for you and those next to you. Feel free to chill out with a cup of coffee and just watch. Don't feel pressured to sing or whatever else, just sit back and enjoy the live music and the speaker.
	ENTHUSIASM AND HONESTY Expect to visit an exciting church service with practical teaching, live music, and creativity. We're eager to live out our faith, so Sundays are just the time we get together to build up enthusiasm for the week ahead of us. One of our mottos around the church is: Real People, Real Life, Real Faith!
	KIDS STUFF Expect a great kids program with many activities and learning adventures. We have signs pointing the way to where you should go to drop off your kids and if you are unclear just ask an usher. We have an alert system so if your kids need you during the service, the caretakers will page you. Alternatively, if your kids are shy and want to hang out with you, that's cool too.
	CASUAL, DYNAMIC, AND DIVERSE Expect a casual environment where you can come as you are. Wear jeans, shorts, sandals, whatever. If you are traditional or just really like suits, then wear what makes you feel comfortable. We are a diverse bunch of all ages from many different walks of life, so, like we said – come as you are!
	LIVE MUSIC Expect to hear live music that inspires and draws you to reflect upon God.
	PRAYER We are a church that believes in prayer. You'll notice that we like to pray for each other and for what's going on in the world. If you would like someone to pray for something going on in your life, just let us know. We have special prayer cards that you can write your prayer request on and we'll pray for you as soon as we get it. Or, you can grab an usher or go into our prayer room and find prayer immediately if you would like.
	INTELLECTUAL MESSAGES THAT CONNECT There's nothing worse than mindless thinking or checking your brains at the door when you go to a church. We believe that worship of God should be intelligent, so we emphasize teaching that is intellectually stimulating, tackling the tough issues that challenge faith with real answers. And so we don't just get big heads, we also emphasize teaching that is practical. No high pressure pitches or unnecessary guilt trips – just honest talk in easy to understand language. And, we have fun doing it!
	A CHANCE TO JOIN THE JOURNEY The church is not a building you go to, it's a group of people you belong to and love. We are a family. We invite all to connect, grow, and volunteer in what's happening here at Del Rey Church. We believe that each person in our church has a special gift to contribute to our family, so don't be shy to get involved. We look forward to meeting you!
